Translation: "The universe exists within human when human becomes the universe mind."
In late 1995 and early 1996, during meditation, Myung experienced a profound insight: instead of striving for enlightenment, he realized he needed to discard his mind and even his very self. Through this organic understanding, he completely let go of his mind’s world, ultimately experiencing a resurrection and rebirth of Truth within himself. In simpler terms, he reached enlightenment, realizing that the Universe was his mind and that he had become Truth.
Through his enlightenment, Woo came to understand the principles of the world, gaining answers to all his questions about life and death. Realizing that people can only truly live by fully discarding their minds, he committed himself to teaching others how to attain Truth.
“In order to teach people, there needed to be a method.”
– From Woo Myung's book; The Living Eternal World
What began as a single meditation class with ten students in Mungyeong, South Korea, in November 1996, soon developed into a comprehensive program. Over the past two decades, Teacher Woo has worked tirelessly to refine this practice, developing various techniques that later became the seven levels of meditation and the completion course. His goal was to create a method that would enable others to reach a state of completion. While students achieved various levels of enlightenment in the earlier years, they could not reach full completion—resurrection and rebirth—until 2012.
Since 2012, through the practice of the completion-level course, in 2016 Woo developed a way to cleanse generational mind traits, guiding people to deeper enlightenment. This final approach enabled not only the realization of one’s true self as the Universe but also the understanding of and living in the Land of Truth — the creation of Truth in the Universe that exists within one's self that is here and now.
